I'm going to London.

Dear Everybody,

I am writing to let you all know of something exciting that is going on in my life this summer. A couple of days ago I have accepted the opportunity to serve as an intern missionary at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) at London’s Radiant location. I have actually served with YWAM in the past and cannot wait to do so again.

During this three-month program I will be trained in ministry, and develop my skills in visual arts as well as social media marketing. We will serve on the base through their church partner, homeless outreach (Lazarus Project), children’s ministry, and other basic tasks that keep YWAM London running smoothly. After the training phase and serving the mission base, we will go into our outreach phase. Outreach will stay within the United Kingdom or Europe. Part of outreach will be at Notting Hill Carnival—London’s biggest festival. We will have the opportunity to use art and performance here in order to reach thousands of people sharing the gospel. This is a huge deal in a country where Christians are now outnumbered by people that identify as having no religious beliefs. This means a lower percentage of U.K. citizens are professing believers than in other countries I’ve been such as Rwanda, Uganda, and the Philippines.

As I begin this journey, I would love it if you would join me in prayer as I prepare to serve. Pray that I would be bold in sharing the gospel, for wisdom, and that I would grow even closer to God. Also pray for my team—that we would be unified as a team. Other prayers over basic needs (financial, health, safety, etc.) will be greatly appreciated as well!

As I prepare for my journey, I must fundraise financial support in order to serve in this program. The total comes to about $3,250 (or £2,500.) I would like to invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with me. This expense covers my accommodations, food, and materials. It does not include airfare to London, transportation for outreach, or International Health Insurance. So, when I am fully funded through YWAM there will still be opportunity to donate financially for these expenses if you feel lead.
